Purple Sea Moss is a type of sea moss that is known for its unique purple color. It contains powerful antioxidants called anthocyanins, which are commonly found in blue and purple fruits or vegetables. Due to its high content of vitamins A and C, Purple Sea moss is great for maintaining healthy skin. These two vitamins help to promote collagen production, thus reducing the signs of aging and improving overall complexion.
Unlike the more common gold sea moss, purple sea moss is dried in a dark room to avoid losing its natural color and the associated benefits. When sea moss is harvested from the ocean, it naturally comes in a variety of colors. However, when it is sun-dried, the impact of sunlight bleaches the color to gold. To retain its natural hue, sea moss needs to be handled differently during the drying process.
To store sea moss gel : Sea Moss Gel should be stored in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. If you want to extend its shelf life, you can freeze it in ice cubes and store it in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Purple Sea Moss can be taken orally by consuming 1-2 tablespoons daily. It can also be easily blended into smoothies, oatmeal, and soups. Additionally, it can be used as a face or hair mask.
